Pet Policy

SUMMER

Elk Lake Resort welcomes pets/service dogs during the Summer season if the guest follows the following guidelines:

Pets/Service Dogs must remain on a leash at all times, unless actively swimming in the water.  This means no loose dogs running on the beach!

Pets/Service Dogs must be friendly to other pets and people.

Pets/Service Dogs ARE NOT to be left alone at any time, including in your vehicle or cabins/campsites.

Pets are charged a pet fee of $25 per pet, per night.

Due to wildlife animals in the area that roam both day and night, pets/service dogs ARE NOT allowed in the Glamping Tents or grounds for their safety.  Pets/Service Dogs CAN NOT be kenneled/crated outside the Glamping tents overnight.  Pets/Service Dogs are welcome to stay in our Cabins, Camping Cabins, Campsites and RV sites.

Pet/Service Dog waste must be immediately picked up and disposed of.

Pets/Service Dogs ARE NOT allowed on furniture or beds in the cabins.  If there is evidence of dogs on furniture or bedding, an excessive cleaning charge will apply, appropriate to the situation, but not less than $100 each incident.

Any damage caused by pets/service dogs will be charged appropriate to the situation, but not less than $100 per incident.

Pets or Service Animals ARE NOT allowed in our Pontoon boots for their safety.

Pets and Service Dogs ARE allowed:

WINTER

During the Winter season, pets and service animals ARE NOT allowed on our property, regardless of mode of transportation used to get to the Resort.  Due to winter weather and wildlife in the area, in order to guarantee your pets safety we cannot allow any pet or service animal in our cabins, restaurant, grounds or in our Snowcat vehicles.  We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we look forward to seeing your pet during the Summer season!
